Bath City Swoop For Danny Greenslade

Bath City Football Club have filled their vacant left-back position by acquiring the services of youngster Danny Greenslade from Bristol Rovers.

The 19-year-old has joined the club on a one-month deal and will look to slot into the Bath set-up to help the team rise from their current eleventh placed position in the National League South.

The move will see Greenslade step up to National League football for the first time.

The defender has previously plied his trade on loan at Mangotsfield United and Truro City respectively, with both spells coming as loan deals.

A product of the youth system at Bristol Rovers where he has been since the age of 10, Greenslade has since been testing his ability within the football leagues in order to gain experience.

The Welsh youngster was part of the Rovers team which won both the Youth Alliance League and the cup double during the 2012/13 season, and shared a dressing room with now Arsenal academy goalkeeper Matt Macey.

Greenslade's first outing in Bath colours could come on Saturday, as City face Maidstone United at Twerton Park.
