Bath City's Manny Monthe joins Forest Green Rovers
Bath City defender Manny Monthe has today signed for Conference National leaders Forest Green Rovers for an undisclosed fee.
Monthe, who only joined the Romans this summer from Hayes, has quickly found himself moving up the leagues again as Forest Green Rovers, a division up, have poached the defender.
Forest Green are currently managed by ex-Swindon Town boss Mark Cooper and the well-funded club are top of the National League which currently has them heading towards the Football League for the first time in their history.
Former Bath defender Monthe may have only played 19 games for City, but he made an immediate impact at Twerton Park as he scored four goals and earned six man-of-the-match awards.
On his move, Monthe tweeted: "I'm really excited to have joined Forest Green, I'm looking forward to the challenge."
In a video for Forest Green's website, he said:
"I appreciate the opportunity I have been given and I am very grateful.
"I am very eager, I want to show them my worth, I know what I can bring to the team.
"I am very excited to be a part of this project and I am going to grab this opportunity with both hands."
