Bath City's Reading loanee Axel Andresson called up for Iceland U21 squad

On-loan Bath City defender Axel Andresson has been called up for the Iceland under-21 squad.

Andresson, who has been a Roman since last November, has made a great impression on Bath City and its fans since his arrival.

Iceland have three matches during this international period, two away matches against Georgia on Wednesday and Saturday, before hosting Saudi Arabia the following Tuesday.

It means though that City will be without the centre back for Gosport (tomorrow) and Wealdstone on Saturday.

Andresson has previously got caps for his country at under-17 and under-19 level.
