Bath Rugby representatives run riot in dominant England win over Scotland
Jonathan Joseph scored a hat-trick of tries and Anthony Watson added one of his own in a convincing England win that secured back-to-back Six Nations titles for the Red Rose.
Joseph opened the scoring at Twickenham with just three minutes on the clock, as the Bath centre capitalised on a Scotland side that were down a man early due to an early yellow card, to race through and plant down for his first of three tries.
On the 25-minute mark Joseph was at it again as he weaved his way through a vulnerable Scottish defence and had the freedom of the national rugby union stadium to put the ball down for try number two. Bath colleague George Ford provided the pass, too, in what really was a fantastic evening's work by the trio of Blue, Black and White employees.
There was another brilliant Bath link-up 10 minutes later when Joseph temporarily turned provider as he offloaded to early replacement Anthony Watson who rushed in to add his name to the try scorers list.
Two minutes after half-time Joseph got his hat-trick try in equally as effortless style as the previous two.
He picked up a pass near the five-metre line and charged away from the Scotland defence as if they were not even there. Joseph, not for the first time either, did not even need to dive over for the try, opting instead to just gently place it down ahead of wheeling away in celebration.
Joseph's three tries and one assist led to him, rightly, being named as the man-of-the-match as England secured a record-equalling 18th win on the bounce, as well as their second Six Nations win on the trot.
Speaking after the match, Joseph said: "Coming back into the team, scoring a hat-trick and winning the Six Nations means it has been a great day.
