Hooker Brooker will ply his trade at the Recreation Ground until the end of the current season as the Blue, Black and White try and finish in the top four.
Brooker, who was already played for Bath in his career, was capped at England Saxons level in 2012, and has represented Harlequins, Worcester and Bristol in the Aviva Premiership.
Director of Rugby, Todd Blackadder, said: “We’re really pleased to have been able to bring someone who has as much experience as Chris in at this stage in the season. We’ve lost Tom Dunn and Jack Walker in recent weeks to injury, so to have Chris in the squad will be a huge boost heading into a critical part in our season.”
