Bath Rugby team for Exeter Chiefs match named
Bath Rugby have made eight changes from the side that won the West Country derby against Bristol for the trip to Exeter.
Semesa Rokoduguni, George Ford, Kahn Fotuali'i, Ross Batty, Henry Thomas, Dave Attwood, Tom Ellis and Charlie Ewels are the octuplet that come into the 15 for the match at Sandy Park.
Batty and Thomas return to the front row, while Attwood will be partnered again with Luke Charteris.
Ellis and Ewels come in on the openside flanks and at number eight respectively and Matt Garvey resumes his role on the blindside.
Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder said: “I have heard what great games we have had with Exeter in the past few seasons, and I am sure Sunday’s game will be another.
“The game is going to be a big test for us, in terms of measuring where we are as a team – it will show us what we are doing right as well as wrong, and mean we can take that forward into a pretty challenging run of Aviva Premiership games that we have coming up after the Anglo Welsh Cup.
“The injury list is getting shorter, which means we have a decent number of bodies out training for the first real time this season, and that has meant we have had some really good sessions as we have prepared for this game – we are just looking forward to getting out there and playing now.”
