Bath Rugby to face Leicester Tigers in historic Twickenham clash

‘The Clash’, one of the biggest sporting and entertainment events of 2017, is set to take place at Twickenham Stadium between two of English rugby’s fiercest rivals.

On Saturday 8th April 2017, Bath Rugby will host Leicester Tigers at the home of rugby in an epic Aviva Premiership showdown. To celebrate the meeting of these star-studded historic foes, a festival of entertainment for all the family is in store – before and after the referee’s whistle is blown.

Adjoining the stadium, ‘The Forum’ – a three-zoned mini-city – will bring the Best of Bath to Twickenham, with a feast of food and drink, stage acts, the opportunity to meet Bath Rugby players past and present, the ‘Tunnel of Noise’ on a grander scale and a whole host of family entertainment.

Within the stadium itself, a pre-match show featuring music and pyrotechnics will build as the players enter the arena for the onset of what promises to be one of the biggest rugby clashes of the season.

Bath and Leicester both boast some of the leading players in the international game, both from England and across the globe, and the chance to watch them go head-to-head at a world-class venue is a mouth-watering prospect.

Ticket prices start at just £5 for juniors and £15 for adults, with a dedicated microsite now live to answer any questions that supporters may have.

“Everyone at the Club is incredibly excited about The Clash,” said Managing Director Tarquin McDonald. “We decided to take one of our games and put it on a bigger stage so that the wider supporter base we have can enjoy a fantastic day at a Bath Rugby game they may not get to see ordinarily.

From a rugby point of view, it will also provide the players with the opportunity to play in an international stadium and will be a fantastic experience for them.

“This isn’t just a day for Bath Rugby supporters: we’re putting on a superb, affordable family day out that will have lots of fun and entertainment for all ages, with the added bonus of a fantastic game of rugby as the centrepiece.”

The game is included in the full season ticket package, with Season Ticket Holders able to claim their seat from Monday 1st August They will also be able to purchase additional tickets for Friends and Family, with a 10% discount available up until Friday 23rd September.
