Bath Rugby to run replacement coach service for 'The Clash' due to lack of trains
It has emerged that no trains will be running from Bath to London on the day of 'The Clash' at Twickenham, but Bath Rugby have responded to the issue.
Bath are set to battle against fierce rivals Leicester at Twickenham on April 8 but Bath Spa train station will be closed from between April 8 to 23.
Network Rail will be modernising the station in preparation for new, longer trains which will enter service later this year. The work will include making the platforms wider and will also reduce the stepping distance to and from trains.
The club are well-aware of this, however, and will be running a coach pick-up service for those that want to go to the match at the country's national Rugby Union stadium.
A club spokeswoman said: "Bath Rugby is doing all it can to ensure supporters from in and around Bath can easily - and affordably - join us at Twickenham for The Clash, and full details can be found at bathrugby.com/theclash."
