Fly-half Josh Lewis to join Bath in the summer

Bath Rugby have agreed a deal to sign fly-half Josh Lewis for the 2017-18 season.

Lewis, who joins from Ebbw Vale, will remain in Wales for the rest of the season and then will join up with the Bath squad.

The 25-year-old’s form in Ebbw Vale’s 2013 SWALEC Championship triumph secured a move to Scarlets and he will now be looking to make his mark in the West Country. Whilst with the Welsh region, Lewis continued his development with Welsh Premiership side Llanelli RFC and amassed over 350 points in his 36 games.

On signing for Bath, Lewis said: “I’m really excited to be joining Bath. It’s a huge opportunity for me to continue developing my all-round game, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

Director of Rugby, Todd Blackadder, added: “Josh is a promising fly-half and will provide added depth and competition, which will undoubtedly help to drive the team forward.

“He’s shown glimpses of what he can do in Wales and I’m excited to see him fulfil his potential here at Bath Rugby.”
