MATCH REPORT: Bath City 1-2 Wealdstone

Bath City endured their second defeat on the bounce after they lost 2-1 at home to Wealdstone on Saturday.

Daniel Green opened the scoring, in favour of Wealdstone in the 34th minute with a 25-yard curler past Bath goalkeeper Max O'Leary but the Romans hit back soon after.

In first-half stoppage time Chas Hemmings drew Bath level, in less impressive style than Green's goal, but all goals count the same.

Hemmings was johnny-on-the-spot to bundle in from a goalmouth scramble to get Bath on equal terms with their counterparts going into the half-time break, but only one team pushed on after that, and it wasn't Bath.

With 73 minutes played Wealdstone forward Jonny Wright burst into the Bath box and was fouled by Sekani Simpson for a spot-kick, which Romans supporters thought was harsh.

Wright dusted himself down to take the penalty himself, and he beat O'Leary from the spot, sending the keeper the wrong way in the process.
