MATCH REPORT: Bath City 6-0 Hemel Hempstead
Bath City notched their biggest league win in a decade with a resounding 6-0 thumping of Hemel Hempstead at Twerton Park.
Axel Andresson and Shane McCoulsky both hit braces for Bath while Nick McCootie and Shaquille Hunter also chipped in with strikes in what was a City triumph to remember for the 489 in attendance.
Reading loanee Andresson opened the scoring in style with nine minutes as the Icelandic defender curled in a superb 25-yard free-kick to get Bath going early on.
Man-of-the-match Andresson doubled City's lead in the 20th minute from the penalty spot.
Arnauld Mendy of Hempstead was red carded for giving the penalty away and Andresson slotted home the spot-kick to put Bath in early control of what was now 10-man Hemel.
Bath took full advantage of having the extra man and extended the lead to 3-0 in the 31st minute.
McCoulsky tapped in the third from a yard out following a neat give-and-go between Marvin Morgan and McCootie that ended with the latter crossing towards McCoulsky who could not miss, and did not.
McCootie netted a goal of his own five minutes before the break - the striker impressively scored a backwards headed from 12 yards when he connected an Andy Watkins delivery into the back of the net.
McCoulsky got his second goal, and Bath's fifth, of the afternoon two minutes before the hour mark with a calm, composed finish from 10 yards to really the get the party going at Twerton Park.
As the clock ticked down to the end of the game, Hunter popped up with a goal. Hunter scored a well-taken sixth for the Romans to ensure this match would go into the record books.
