MATCH REPORT: Hungerford 2-2 Bath City

Bath City twice hit back from a goal down to earn a New Years Day draw at Hungerford Town.

Hungerford first took the lead in the 32nd minute when James Clark volleyed in the opener after a superb left-sided cross by Irishman Alan O'Brien.

With ten minutes of the second half played, Bath levelled the game for the first of two occasions courtesy of Nick McCootie's deflected effort following good work by Naby Diallo.

Hungerford would later take the lead again but that was after they were initially denied by Bath keeper Max O'Leary who brilliantly saved a second half penalty.

Stefan Brown was the man who stepped up from 12 yards. He was kept out though by O'Leary who saved well low down to his right-hand side.

Substitute Harry Goodger restored Hungerford's advantage in the 75th minute, although that did not last long.

Just two minutes later Chas Hemmings restored parity with his goal to earn Bath their second draw over the festive period, after a 1-1 draw on Boxing Day.
