OKTOBERFEST COMES TO THE REC WITH THE LAUNCH OF THE 'FRIDAY NIGHT CLUB'

Bath Rugby are proud to launch their Friday Night Club with a themed Oktoberfest evening at tomorrows home game at The Rec as the Blue, Black, and White take on the Exeter Chiefs. TotalGuide To Bath gives you the lowdown on what looks set to be an evening full of beer, bratwurst, and high-quality rugby.

Situated in the Swift Half, fans will see their beloved venue turned into an exciting Bavarian Bier Haus as Bath Rugby kick-off their first of many themed nights on Friday night fixtures. Gates open at 17:45 and we encourage fans to head straight to the Swift Half for one-off opportunity to enjoy the very best of Oktoberfest that Bath rugby has to offer.

Forget your usual matchday favourites, Friday night offers you the chance to tempt your taste buds with some of Germany’s finest delicacies. Whether it be a drink to warm you up or hearty food to fill your stomach, you can be sure that all needs will be catered for on a special evening of Oktoberfest celebration.

New drinks on offer see Thatcher’s incorporate their brand new mulled cider into the fray whilst for lager lovers, Sulis will be served on tap in the Bath Ales Airstream.

But it’s not just these delicious drinks that will contribute to the Bavarian buzz. Clifton sausage will be serving up some of the very best Bratwurst as The Rec incorporates the best that Bavarian Germany has to offer.

First introduced in Munich in the year 1810 the Oktoberfest festivities have travelled the World ever since and with Bath Rugby pulling out all the stops to create one of the most authentic Oktoberfest experiences around, live music in the Swift Half will increase the excitement levels prior to the big game as fans get the chance to see The Jaeger Maestros put their brilliant twist on traditional oompah music with foot-stomping, table bashing and hearty singalongs widely encouraged.

Traditional Lederhosen’s are the fashion statement of Oktoberfest so for those attending tomorrow’s game, it’s time to dust off your outfits and suit up in your finest Bavarian fancy dress.

Friday night matches create one of the most unique and exciting atmospheres in modern rugby and with Oktoberfest taking over the Swift Half for tomorrow night’s game against Exeter, the Friday Night Club is a fantastic spectacle that is a must-see event for every fan.
