Scotland and England statistics

Scotland’s only two defeats at the recent World Cup came against South Africa at Newcastle in the pools and by a single point to Australia at Twickenham in the quarter-finals.

Previous meetings

In a game which initially struggled to gather momentum, the two sides met in last year's Six Nations in front of a packed Twickenham. Taking a 7-0 lead, England allowed Scotland back into the tie courtesy of a Mark Bennett try on his Twickenham debut.

England would dig deep however and, buoyed by a vocal home crowd, saw the tie through victoriously to leave the turf 25-13 victors.
