Who Is New Bath Signing David Denton?

Bath Rugby have this week announced the signing of Scotland forward David Denton from Edinburgh, but how much do you know about the 25-year-old? Total Sport puts you in the picture...

> D.O.B - February 5, 1990, Marondera.

> Weight - 251 lb

> Denton, 25, has 32 Scotland caps and appeared in four World Cup games earlier this year.

> Born in Zimbabwe, Denton played for Eastern Province in South Africa before moving to Scotland.

> Denton qualifies to play for Scotland courtesy of his mother.

> He made his Scotland debut off the bench against Ireland in August 2011, but failed to make the cut for the 2011 World Cup.

> He was named RBS Man of the Match in his first experience of the RBS Six Nations Championship, the Calcutta Cup loss at Murrayfield in February 2012

> He attended Kingswood College in South Africa before progressing to Edinburgh University to study economics, and has played rugby for Eastern Province in South Africa and the Scottish National Academy.

> Denton has also participated in provincial and national water polo and provincial swimming.

> The Scottish international made 78 appearances for Edinburgh following his arrival in 2010, and can switch between blindside flanker and number eight.

> In those 78 appearances Denton registered eight tries and a total of 40 points.

> He started all of Scotland's matches at the 2010 IRB Junior World Championship in Argentina.

> Denton made 45 carries for Scotland at the 2015 rugby World Cup, 17 more than any other player.

> Bath have agreed to buy out the final six months of Denton's contract, who comes in as a direct replacement for the departing Sam Burgess.

> Following his arrival Denton said: "I've had an incredible six years at Edinburgh," he said. "It's been the hardest decision I've ever made, as I am going to miss the club, but I am really looking forward to an opportunity to play at one of the premier clubs in Europe."
