Having plied his trade up in the north with Wigan, Forsyth is to make the transition from rugby league to union, something which head coach Mike Ford does not envision to be a problem.
“He’s played a season of rugby union before, so it won’t be too much of a learning curve for him. He’s joining a group of very talented young English players here at the Club. Watching them develop together here is very exciting," Ford said upon Forsyth's arrival.
Forsyth adds not only an element of youth to the Bath set-up, but also a combination of both skill and brawn. "Liam is a very skilful player, but he’s also a physically gifted young lad," Ford said.

Forsyth spent an 18-month period with Wigan, despite being native of their bitter rivals St Helens. At 6ft 3 in the centre is tall in stature and cuts a lean yet commanding figure upon the field of play.
His playing style is said to be calculated and tactical in approach, enabling play to progress and develop throughout the side.
Not turning 20 until next February, Forsyth is yet to hit the maturity period in his playing years, meaning Bath are likely to benefit from the Merseysider's long-term development.
