Wilson Puts Pen To Paper On New Bath Rugby Deal

David Wilson has extended his contract with Bath Rugby after signing on the dotted line for two more years, the club have today confirmed.

One of the top tighthead props in English rugby, Wilson has become the cornerstone of the West Country side’s pack, making over 120 appearances since he joined ahead of the 2009/10 season.

“Bath is a great place to be right now, and I have a strong bond with the Club,” said Wilson. “There is a fantastic drive amongst the squad and coaches to succeed, and it’s exciting to be part of that. As a team we work hard to keep getting better, and I’m really looking forward to the coming seasons.”

A very powerful scrummager who is skilful with ball in hand in the loose, Wilson’s incredible work ethic and all-round game have seen him earn 44 caps for England, the most recent coming in the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

First Team Coach, Neal Hatley, said: “Davey is the ultimate professional, and we’re really pleased that he’s staying at Bath. He’s an important member of the squad for us, not just for his scrummaging ability, but also the impacts he makes around the field and also his experience in the tight.”
