The Jane Austen Centre Bath
The Jane Austen Centre celebrates Bath's most famous resident.
Attracting thousands of visitors from around the globe each year, The Jane Austen Centre pays homage to the work of the famous historic novelist Jane Austen.
Located in a beautiful Georgian building right in the heart of Bath, with its Regency Tea Room and Gift Shop, The Jane Austen Centre is certainly a must-visit.

Indulge in their classic English "Afternoon Tea with Mr. Darcy," featuring a luxurious spread of delicate finger sandwiches, decadent cakes, and warm scones served with Dorset clotted cream and seasonal jam.

The Jane Austen Centre
Famous for her works such as Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility, The Jane Austen Centre focuses on the influence the city of Bath had on Austen, and gives visitors an insight into the life of the author and Regency times in the city.
This is a permanent and ever-evolving exhibition that is immersive and informative, with staff dressed in Regency costumes to take you back as close as possible to the time of Jane Austen.

- Summer: Every day 9.45am - 6.00pm
- Winter: Sunday to Friday 10am - 4:30pm, Saturday 10:00am - 5:30pm

Jane Austen Festival
The Centre also organises the annual Jane Austen Festival, which is on Friday 13th to Sunday 22nd September 2024. Ten wonderful days of celebrating all things Austen in the beautiful city of Bath. View their events flyer here.
The Jane Austen Festival in Bath is the largest and longest running Jane Austen Festival in the world. Since 2001 the festival has grown into a 10 day programme, drawing over 3500 people from around the world.

2025 is the year we celebrate the 250th birthday of Jane Austen, one of Bath’s most cherished former residents, and you’re invited to join the festivities!
This year, immerse yourself in Bath and honour the life and work of this brilliant author with a variety of exciting events, special offers, and exclusive packages throughout the city, running from January all the way to the grand celebration on December 16th.
