First-round Mock Draft
American football fans all over the globe are eagerly awaiting the NFL’s annual meat market, scheduled for April 23rd through the 25th where the best college players in the world are sized up, scrutinized, analyzed, and categorized by each and every NFL team. But this year there will be less sizzle on the steak because of the global pandemic that has shut down life as we know it. Instead of a red carpet type of affair where the nattily-dressed players eagerly wait to hear their names called, step up on the stage, and shake the Commissioner’s hand before putting on the hat of the team that drafted them, this year will be a remote viewing situation where ostensibly the players will be “zooming” from their respective homes.
Below we will take a peek at the best players in the 2020 NFL Draft and some interesting prop bets that are being offered.

If you’re wondering whether the NFL Draft will actually proceed as scheduled amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, then fear not, Commissioner Roger Goodell was emphatic that the show will go on. And Goodell is so adamant he warned that any team official who publicly debated or questioned the wisdom of the decision could face fines and penalties. Goodell explains his rationale for keeping the draft on schedule in the following memo, "Everyone recognizes that public health conditions are highly uncertain and there is no assurance that we can select a different date and be confident that conditions will be significantly more favorable than they are today. I also believe that the Draft can serve a very positive purpose for our clubs, our fans, and the country at large, and many of you have agreed."
